True or false?

James O'Keefe confronted Dylan Mulveney at the Four Seasons hotel and asked him to comment on the fact that women had been raped in prisons by trans women. Mulveney, seeking to dodge O'Keefe and his questions, did not in fact make a comment.

Some who viewed the video called it TMZ-like harrassment, others said that it was right to corner Dylan since he is the "new face" for trans people and therefore somewhat responsible for the actions of these criminals.

Which is true? And is guilt by association based on identity a good idea?

Ye he may not be the responsible per se but he should definitely take accountability for it as the main one pushing the nonsense

I do find the way Jame O'Keefe goes after people is purely for ratings and not to actually attempt to have a dialogue cause I can't imagine anyone being willing to talk to anyone with that type of aggressive approach.

But I do think that since Dylan Mulveney is claiming to be trans, he and other trans people that support Self ID should address these instances where Self ID was taken advantage of and resulted in woman being attacked and raped in spaces that were meant only for women.  If they don't and stay silent, well people will start making assumptions and I already hate how much fall out many in the trans community that don't support these Self ID laws or guys like Dylan who openly mocking female stereotypes in order to make money and get attention, because people assume they are the same as those that claim to be trans in order to benefit from that title.

HE is the face of a dangerous movement and for that I believe he deserves as much negative questions as positive. He's happy to talk to other "celebrities"

He is currently the face of erasure of women. Men being jailed with women has become a devastating problem and he needs to answer for it because if he did, it's possibly that the trans rights activists would stop insisting that transwomen are women. They are not, they are men. He needs to acknowledge this instead of gaslighting women around the world.

I don't disagree. Not only is he the face of the erasure of women, but also the face of the "mockery of women"

I agree there, but I still think it is a dangerous precedent to blame someone for heinous actions committed by another just because they share the same identity. We don't do that with anything else, race, religion etc for obvious reasons, I'm not sure if we should do so with gender identity.
